The final of the Lowes Petroleum BP 4 BBB Matchplay was played at the Griffith Golf Club last Sunday and the Father/Son combination of Travis and Blake Millis the 2021 Champions after scoring a 4/2 win in the final over another Father/Son combination of Warren and Connor Bock.

It was probably the first time two father/son pairs contested the final.
Good to see two juniors in the final, both have taken to the game, and it was actually Blake who parred the 16th to clinch the win.
The event on Saturday was the First Round of the Area Builders Trophy, a single stableford with a strong field of 107 players. Aaron Webb 40 points won A Grade carding birdies on the 2nd, 15th, and 17th, Allan Andreazza 37 points runner-up.
Peter Cunial 38 points won B Grade carding seven pars ahead of Darryl Graham 36 points draining a birdie on the 15th.
Michael Turnell 41 points, won C Grade to also take the lead going into the second round, carding four-point pars on the 5th, 6th, and 10th.
Michael Gaffey 38 points runner-up, four-point pars on the 2nd, and 12th.
Brendon Zambon won the 4th and 11th pins, Graham 7th, Paul Josling 16th. Jason Magoci and Nathan Lewis won the Pro Pins. The Second Round of the Area Builders will be played this Saturday.
Sundays event was a medley single stableford with 53 players.
The Richards brothers, Chris and Trevor dominated A Grade, Chris taking the win on 36 points from Trevor 33 points.
Geoff Cotterill 36 points, won B Grade ahead of Jarrod Gale 35 points.
Wayne Salvestro 38 points took the honours in C Grade over Mitchell Hill 37 points.
Pins to 7th Lama Lolotonga, 11th Helen Bourne, 16th Trevor Richards.

Golfers are advised that due to the Covid restrictions, the protocols for playing golf have returned. All advice from the Pro Shop where face masks must be worn and players must sign in.
Today, Thursday, and Saturday are all single stablefords, medley Versus Par on Sunday. The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday, also the Second Round of the Winter Cup with 32 players in two grades.
Alan LeBroque 41 points won Div.1, Skeet Milne 37 points, runner-up. Alan King 38 points won Div.2, Bill Wilkinson 35 points second.
Le Broque had a day out, taking both the 4th and 8th. Pro Pins, Kevin Bellew 15th.
Last Wednesday's event was a Two-Person Ambrose with 52 players.
John Brennick combined with Jason Magoci to card winning score of 63 1/2 nett. Peter Henderson and Brendon Peters 64 1/2 nett on a countback over Alf Franchi and Kevin Bellew 64 1/2 nett.
Brian Savage won the 8th pin, Alan Le Broque 11th.
