An expensive television and a guitar were two of the items stolen during a recent break-in at a Griffith community centre.

At some point between 2pm on June 23 and 3pm on July 5, unknown offenders broke into the Alma Bamblett Community Centre at Heath Crescent, entering through a rear door of the premises.
The offenders did not break anything but did allegedly make off with a $2000 television and $200 guitar from the centre.
Acting Inspector Mark Griffith said investigations into the incident are continuing and he urged anyone with information to come forward.

Tools taken in construction site break-in
Thousands of dollars worth of tools have been stolen from a trailer after unknown thieves broke into a Griffith construction site.
Between 5pm on June 30 and 7am on July 1, an under-construction home on Hardiman Way was broken into via a smashed window.
The offenders did not take anything from the building, however a white box trailer at the house, belonging to the tradies working on the site, was also broken into and $8000 of tools stolen.
Police are investigating.
Banna Avenue drink driver to face court
A Griffith man will face court next month after being charged with high-range drink driving.
The 30-year-old was driving west on Banna Avenue when he was pulled over by police for erratic driving at about 12:50am on Sunday, July 4.
After subjecting to a roadside breath test and returning a positive result, he was taken to Griffith Police Station for further breath analysis where he returned a result of 0.169.
The Griffith resident was charged with high range PCA and will face Griffith Local Court on August 11.
In other police matters;
- Police are investigating after an unknown group broke into the Murrumbidgee Regional High School Wade Site between 4:30pm on June 30 and 8:30am on July 1. The offenders allegedly gained entry to the school through an unlocked ground floor window and proceeded to graffiti parts buildings and bubblers with spray paint. Police will be reviewing CCTV footage of the night.
- A grey BMW was stolen from the front of a Kookora Street home between 7:30pm on June 30 and 8:30am on July 1. The vehicle was last seen locked and secured.
