The Mandurah Catholic College surprised her mum Michelle when she declared she was planning her first haircut - and it would be for an important cause.
"Skye came home on Thursday and told me of her plans to have her first ever haircut this Friday at school, COVID pending of course," Michelle said.
"She told me she wanted to raise as much money as possible for teachers and staff who are battling with cancer."

Skye started a GoFundMe page titled 'Rapunzel's haircut for cancer', and has a goal to raise $2000 this week.
Skye's hair is 1.5m long, and will go towards changing the life of a cancer patient.
"Once my hair has been cut, all money raised will be donated to the staff affected and the hair will be donated to make a wig for a cancer patient in need," Skye said.
