Even though we are feeling a little nostalgic moving from our home of over 40 years, access to the new centre and new resources will make everyone's role much easier.
The new centre will be there for everyone, housing many services and offering opportunities to create new programs.
We want to support the community's changing needs while still advocating for people being mistreated or overlooked.
The staff and committee have been listening very closely to the community and their needs and evaluating what we can do at the centre that would be beneficial.
We have strengthened our partnerships with other agencies, sharing programs and value adding to events.
This is the way we plan to move forward, not replicating services but creating solutions.

We are reaching out to residents in Pioneer, especially young people to provide social activities that are lacking in their estate.
We have also created a space for residents to come together on Mondays to socialise and up-skill.
The Community Drug Action Team is back. Our aim is to work with stakeholders to focus on alcohol and other drug issues through informal groups and activities, that support prevention through peer support, after care and social projects.
There are currently three support groups meeting at the centre - Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and GROW with room for new groups/initiatives targeting wellbeing to craft groups.
