The program is an initiative of the RISEUP strategy that was launched by the NSW Police Commissioner in 2018, connecting disengaged young people to workplace opportunities by mentoring and providing vocational training for at risk youth aged between 15 and 18.
"As part of this initiative, we aim to partner with employers across NSW to create meaningful workplace opportunities for young people who have embraced positive change in their lives and build their engagement with education, employment opportunities and the community" said PCYC.
The participants underwent vocational training at a range of local businesses, learning skills associated in hairdressing, concreting, tyre fitting, computing and even in mechanics for Year 10 student Montahna Lee Johnson.
Assistant Commissioner Gelina Talbot said that the program was an 'outstanding success', illustrating how the PCYC can help at risk teenagers upskill and find a purpose for their lives.
"It's amazing to see how much they grow, we want to see them succeed in life".

Staff involved in the program said that the support would never stop, and that just because the program was over, didn't mean they were no longer there for them.
"As you continue on your life journeys, remember you create your own success, your own storyboard and we are always here for you" Sergeant Jason Pietroboni said.
"We look forward to watching you grow into the community and on to bigger and better things, we really couldn't be more proud".
The students who participated in the program were Damien Green, Jayden Gill, Lochlan Wilson, Takuanau, Montahna Lee Johnson, Ryan Lodding, Paul Dyer, Kevin Wilson, TJ and Dominic Maxwell.
"It is heartwarming to see the confidence and joy these teens now hold within them, and the connections that are formed with community and local business members" PCYC CEO Dominic Teakle said.
