It has been three weeks in between drinks for the Blacks, who drew 24-all in their last match against Albury, and coach Chris McGregor said his side is ready to get back out there.
"We need to rebound and get some results, and the boys are pretty keen to play some footy," he said.
"We have only played one game in a month, which isn't ideal going into Tahs, but that is footy."
McGregor is hoping that the three-week break will help his side heading into the back end of the season as it gave them some time to work on their mental approach as well as giving time to nurse some niggles.
"We have just been working to make sure that we complete. It's more of a mindset, and we have had a few conversations about where we fit and what we are trying to achieve," he said.
"Hopefully, we will have a few blokes back from injury. I know we picked up a few injuries on the weekend in second grade, but hopefully, we will be able to get a few blokes back after a bit of a rest, but there has been a lot of stop-start over the last month to six weeks.
"We walk into the next six weeks, and we actually have footy at least, which allows us to be consistent, and we can build from there."

This weekend will see them take on the Waratahs side, who are locked in a battle for top spot with Wagga City.
The last time the two sides met, it was the Blacks first game in almost two years, and they fell to a five-point defeat, and while the side will once again be taking on the 'Tahs after a long break, McGregor has full belief in the side he will be able to put out on the park.
"When we play our best footy we can match it with anyone. We just have to be consistent and play our best footy," he said.
"I'm confident in whoever we have got because our squad is very strong this year, but we just need to get a bit of consistency in what we are doing."
All four grades will be in action at Conolly Rugby Park on Saturday, with first grade kicking off at around 3.20pm.
