Of the 17 Junior runners 7 were in the top 10. The juniors normally compete in short course runs of between 3-4km, so it was a magnificent effort by the juniors.
Other commendable efforts included Elizabeth Barker who recorded her fastest pace since joining the Feral's 5 weeks ago.
The cup run was one of Jeremy Woodhouse's better efforts, certainly better than his fire-lighting skills although that was entertaining, in the end he did get a good blaze up.
Returning after a few niggles and commitment to children's sport Rodney Savage had the longest run (7.0km), Hamish Gunn with a target of 6.8km put in a strong effort.

Roy Binks carrying an injury could have opted for a short walk but in typical Roy style he chose the 6km walk challenge an acted as course sweeper.
In the end we were all winners, it was a great day for a run and Simon Fattore's esky of refreshments around Jeremy's fire went down well. Next week the 8-week Surfer competition commences.
