The Roosters took out two early tries and held onto the lead, while the Tigers fought to come back from a disappointing start.
They looked like they might equalise things for a while, scoring one try and getting close to another before a truly once-in-a-lifetime bounce off the crossbar gave DPC the easiest try they could have ever asked for.
At half-time, the score sat at 22-12. It didn't look good for the Tigers but there was still hope that they'd make it back. Unfortunately, with Darlington Point scoring another try in the early minutes of the second half, those hopes were quickly dashed.
Ben Jeffery undoubtedly proved why he's the coach for Darlington Point, making three tries including a final sprint to take the Roosters tenth try of the game and putting the final score at 50-18, a far cry from the close game that many thought it would be.
The Tigers fought valiantly with a heroic second wind towards the final quarter, but the Roosters defence proved too strong to come back from. The Tigers managed to hold onto the ball for most of the last quarter and would come within metres of a try but Darlington Point
Where the Roosters fell behind was in conversions, making only half of the possible ten while the Tigers successfully converted all three of their tries.
Roosters coach Ben Jeffery said "They've still got a really quality team, and they'll be tougher at the end of the season. Having some of our boys back definitely helped."
