Travel manager at iTravel Griffith Chontell Giannini, said the demand for domestic holidays had soared.
Mrs Giannini said holidaymakers needed help to navigate potential restrictions, quarantining and logistical challenges that remained.
"Demand is now higher for domestic travel than it was before COVID," Mrs Giannini said.
"Everything is selling out really fast and well in advance, making it difficult to effectively book everything from home."
The unprecedented demand extends from everything to car hire, sightseeing tours, accommodation and flights and is logistically more of a challenge to coordinate.
Mrs Giannini recommends booking everything at once, with the Northern Territory, Tasmania and Tropical North Queensland local favourite destinations.

A spokesperson for Kimberley Experiences even said that their emails and enquires had "exploded" for prospective domestic visitors.
"These locations are wonderful to visit but they just can't cater for such constant demand," Mrs Giannini said.
Interest in international travel has also been consistent with locals booking trips to mostly European destinations.
However, even with the New Zealand-Australia travel bubble open for business, Mrs Giannini says that there still is some hesitation for travelers to go abroad.
"I think once things calm down, and we have more certainty that the Australian borders won't slam shut again, people will be less hesitant to travel to New Zealand, but when that happens the demand will be absolutely crazy," Mrs Giannini said.
