The Winter competition is now done and dusted. In the knowledge that his name was already engraved on the long course trophy Moreno Chiappin chose to run at a gentle canter for race 10 of the Winter competition and finished 22nd.

Jack Jasnos also had his name engraved on the trophy before the start, but that made no difference to his performance, in fact he achieved a PB.
5.3km into the run Simon Fattore clocked up 3,000km of recorded Hill running and so become the keeper of the 3,000km shield until either Elio Minato or Anthony Salmon claim it in about eight months' time.
In the short course Kitty Mahar was 1st back with a time of 21m20s, her brother Andrew was hot on her tail coming 2nd with a time of 20m22s.
Callum Vecchio always runs hard and was third with a net time of 14m37s. For the 9th time in the 10-week competition Nate Mingay recorded the fastest time.
On her debut run Charlotte Hill was the fastest female on the day.
Aidan Cummins was 1st home in the long course and recorded the 2nd fastest time (25m39s) for the run.
Rita Fascianelli-McIvor was 2nd and Eleonore Boucard in 3rd place recorded the fastest time (29m21s) for the female runners.
The heavily handicapped (20m30s) Aidan Fattore was the fastest on the long course finishing 24th with a net time of 22m24s.

As is the Feral custom at the end of a competition the club provides refreshments for all members.
Vice President Jeremy Woodhouse kept everyone warm with his fire drum.
Rodney Bortolin heard about the end of run refreshments and decided to meet and greet old friends.
Next week is the Solstice Cup and again there will be refreshments and a fire drum at the end of the run.
The Solstice Cup run commences with a mass start; however, runners are handicapped in the distance they must run.
