Over the course of two community consultation sessions last week, dozens of Pioneer residents highlighted the exact facilities and activities they'd like to see come from the Griffin Green housing project.
CEO of Argyle Housing, Wendy Middleton, said some of the most popular requests involved making the proposed community hub into a centre which is practical and beneficial for local residents.
"With the community hub the top ones were all about getting computer and internet access, as well as services for employment and legal aid and potentially even Centrelink outreach services," Ms Middleton said.
"Childcare services also seemed to be really popular."
Residents also voiced their opinions on what type of equipment they'd like to see in the proposed new playground.
"They all want really good and sturdy equipment that will meet not only the needs of little kids but older kids as well," Ms Middleton said.
The CEO added that the information would be forwarded to the designers of the playground who will use it to create a playground which is "unique and fantastic for the existing community".
Pioneer youngster Tiana Charles took part in the consultation and was buzzing at being given the chance to say what she'd like to see in the park.
"I voted for a garden at the community hub because I could grow vegetables and stuff," Tiana said.
"And then I voted for cooking classes because then I could use my vegetables to make meals."

Tiana said getting a new playground was an exciting prospect.
"We only had that playground for years and it's been broken and we've all been sad that we don't have the hill anymore," she said.
According to Ms Middleton, Argyle Housing will be submitting a Development Application for the Griffin Green housing project in the next "three to four weeks", which will outline their current designs for the area.
