Member for Murray Helen Dalton is "gobsmacked" a producer for a YouTube comedian has been charged with allegedly stalking NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro.

Kristo Langker, 21, will face court after two incidents with Mr Barilaro which relate to his work for Friendlyjordies, AKA Jordan Shanks, who is being sued by the Nationals leader.
"I'm just gobsmacked, I can't believe they've gone to this length, all he's doing is his job," Ms Dalton said of the arrest.
"As far as I can see, the offence relates to Kristo twice approaching Mr Barilaro in a public arena.
"There are many journalists across Australia who'll be in trouble if this is grounds for arrest.
"The implications for free speech and civil liberties are extremely disturbing."

Ms Dalton wants the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission to probe police and Mr Barilaro over the matter.
"A special unit established to tackle extremists should not be arresting a YouTube comedian," Ms Dalton said, noting how hard women find it to have a stalker charged.
"We've got a death every week with domestic violence yet we've got this sort of rot going on.
"It's totally unacceptable."
