Griffith City Library is honoured to host author Anita Heiss for the launch of her latest book Bila Yarrudhanggalangdhuray (River of Dreams).

Anita Heiss is a proud member of the Wiradjuri nation of central NSW, but was born in Gadigal country.
She is one of Australia's most prolific and well known authors publishing across genres including non-fiction, fiction and children's novels.
Anita's latest book Bila Yarrudhanggalangdhuray is a tale of love, loss and belonging. It's a story set on Wiradjuri country, based on true events during the Gundagai floods of 1852.
Anita has dedicated this evening in memory of Roger Penrith, a highly respected community member.
Special guests on the night include Madison and Lisa Penrith, Maydina Penrith, Yaltara Penrith, Richard Penrith and Letetia Harris.
Bila Yarrudhanggalangdhuray is available to borrow from Griffith City Library in paperback, eBook and eAudiobook, the book launch will begin at 6pm on Thursday June 24.
Then, to keep the children entertained during the June-July school holidays Griffith City Library will be running a number of activities, including:
- Free creative workshop: Decorate your own bird feeder - two sessions 10am and 1pm, Monday June 28
- Free creative workshop: Create your own wood slab owl artwork - two sessions 10am and 1pm, Monday July 5
- Movie screenings - 11am on Tuesdays and Fridays
- Lego Club - 1pm-4:30pm weekdays
