The on demand delivery service will provide locals with the option of ordering food, beverages and even their groceries from nearby restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, all at the tip of their fingertips.
A representative from DoorDash Australia said that the company was excited about the opportunities the service will provide communities members wanting some extra work, and those wanting to utilise the delivery service.
Community members will also be able to take advantage of the service arriving in town with the option of signing up for delivery work as a gig economy driver, working on their own terms.
Bipil Patel is the franchisee of Subway on Banna Avenue and said that in just one week of using DoorDash, the business had seen approximately $1000 in sales.

"The delivery service isn't just great for business, but it's great for people who aren't able to get out of the house for whatever reason and still need an option for a meal," Mr Patel said.
"Customers seem really happy with how fast food is being delivered and the accessibility of the service."
DoorDash Australia's general manager Rebecca Burrows said Griffith users will also soon be able to utilise a newly launched subscription based delivery service called DashPass.
"After seeing a 62 per cent rise of users ordering groceries and other essential items through the app we thought an expansion to the current DoorDash delivery offerings was in order," Mrs Burrows said.
This will provide those who are regular users of the app, a more consistent and reliable means of accessing essential items when they are unable to physical go to the local shops to collect them themselves.
Currently 15 local restaurants have signed up to DoorDash although more are encouraged to sign up with the service.
Menulog and Deliveroo are also currently servicing Griffith and the local area.
