Previously, Aquna Cod was only available to purchase on the wholesale market, however fish lovers and foodies alike will now have easier access to the sustainably produced fish in 18 stores across Sydney.
Aquna's managing director Mathew Ryan said that the commercial partnership was exciting for the company.
"We have been speaking with Woolworths over a number of months after they expressed a desire to move into offering more clean and sustainable seafood options in their stores, which we can absolutely provide," Mr Ryan said.
The cod is sustainably farmed in open ponds in the Murray-Darling Basin river system - the fish's native environment and is fully traceable from pond to plate.

Earlier this year Aquna was awarded the top spot at the 2021 delicious Produce Awards.
In the future, Aquna will continue to slowly roll out in select Woolworths stores in Sydney, and potentially into local supermarkets in the Riverina.
"The company definitely have plans to move into other stores as we grow and as our business increases in its capacity to service those stores," Mr Ryan said.
"We are all very excited at Aquna to continue showcasing such a fantastic product to new markets across the country."
Table ready fillets of Aquna will be available for purchase in the take home section of participating stores.
