In just a few weeks time, Leeton's status as Australia's Art Deco capital will be celebrated with the Australian Art Deco Festival.
The festival will be held from Friday the 2nd of July until Sunday the 4th of July at a range of locations across the shire.
After a successful inaugural festival in 2019, the event teams big plans for the 2020 festival were put on hold for an additional 12 months due to COVID-19.
However event organiser Suesanne Voss said the festival was bigger and better than ever before, with events spattered across the weekend for all to enjoy.
"We had over 4000 attendees at the 2019 festival and hope to double that this year"
Council's General Manager Jackie Kruger said the festival would be a great celebration for the community to partake in and have fun.
"There really is something for everyone" Mrs Kruger said.
From a Gatsby Caberet Soiree to a Speakeasy, High Rollers at the historic Hydro Motor Inn, immersive murder mysteries and more, there is so much to partake in and reveal in everything that was Art Deco and the fun and frivolousness of the 1920s and 30s.
Leeton Shire Mayor said the festival would also benefit local businesses.
"Celebrating the beautiful Art Deco heritage of Leeton is a fantastic way to stimulate the local economy" Councillor Maytom said.
Attendees will now also be able to redeem their Dine and Discover vouchers at any ticketed event.
