Griffith police are conducting an investigation following a brawl at a local pub over the weekend.

Just after midnight on Sunday, police responding to an incident on Banna Avenue noticed a group of 15 to 20 males pushing and shoving eachother at the entrance to a pub.
Police unsuccessfully attempted to separate the group and resorted to using several short bursts of pepper spray to break them apart.
According to police, the group was "argumentative and aggressive".

After being separated, several of the males allegedly opened the door to the pub and began to yell at another group, causing police to intervene once again.
Some of the males left the area while others remained in the pub.
Police say they are making inquiries and investigating the incident to identify the people involved.
