Goals to Mohammad Fayazi in the first half and then livewire Pearson Kasawaya made the difference as the Griffith side opened their account with a 2-0 victory.
The three points also see the Griffith side lift themselves off the bottom of the table to jump in front of West Canberra Wanderers.
Meanwhile, in the other age divisions, the under 13s were able to continue their brilliant start to the season.
Having lead 2-0 at halftime thanks to goals from Joseph Romeo and Ryan Calabria, they were able to blow Brindabella off the park in the second half.
