The Roosters were able to get over first, with Luke Hogan being sent into a gap with a Ryan McGoldrick cut out pass before both sides struggled to hold onto the ball.

The task got harder for the Greens with Shannon Bradbrook going down with a knee injury before Viliame Latenacolo also came from the field.

Despite a growing injury toll, the Greens were able to hit back, with Rhys Wilesmith able to use his strength to barge through the DPC defence.

The Leeton side was able to take the lead into the halftime interval, with Brayden Scarr and Josh Fisher getting over to give their side an 18-4 lead.

The Roosters showed they weren't going down without a fight with Ben Jeffery before the Greens lost Wilesmith, who suffered a head knock.

Hopwood continued the Roosters fightback after getting on the end of a McGoldrick grubber, but a strong break from Todd Priest saw Scarr able to score his second.

DPC kept themselves in the game with Hayden De Mamiel getting over the line, and with 15 minutes remaining, it was a four-point margin.

Will Barnes was able to make another strong break from dummy before sending Bruest through before Barnes scored one of his own.

Scarr completed his hat-trick to wrap up the 22-point victory for the Greens.

Greens coach Hayden Philp admitted it was yet another game where his side made it more difficult than it needed to be.

"We have been doing it every week and making it a bit harder than it needed to be," he said.

"Full credit to the boys they were able to play for the full 80 again. It is a good result against those boys because they will be right up there."

Philp feels the general bye has come at the right time, given the injuries that were picked up against the Roosters.

"Rhys (Wilesmith) did his job and made a massive impact," he said.

"For him to get concussed, it was a big loss, but the boys got behind one another and worked really hard for the rest of the game.

"Shan (Bradbrook) has been about 80 per cent, so he will have three weeks off, I'd say, and we will assess his injuries and make a call heading into the game against Yanco."

The Greens will head out to Lake Cargelligo for a clash with TLU Sharks, while the Roosters will return home for the grand final rematch against the Waratahs.
