Last week, Griffith City Council released an update on stage three of the works, announcing that curbs and gutters were being installed.
In the announcement, council said "works are progressing well" and that the construction of ramps, driveways and then footpaths will begin once the curbs and gutters are fully installed.
During these works pedestrians will be provided with an alternative temporary footpath.
Council also said works on the communication and power conduits for street lighting in the centre parking lane will "commence soon".
Stage three of the works stretch from Ulong Street to Daines Street and began on December 1 last year.
When works first began, businesses expressed frustration at being cut off from the road right before Christmas and these frustrations were accentuated when the works were delayed due to the discovery of water seepage in February.
When construction on the northern side of the road wraps up, it is expected works will then begin on the southern side of stage three which are expected to finish in mid-December 2021.
