Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to the Merrigal Street home at 9:18am on Sunday, after reports of a car crossing through the Doongara Street intersection and into the main bedroom of a house.
They arrived to find the white Nissan Pathfinder lodged into the building and significant portions of the brick wall destroyed.
The home's occupants were in another part of the house at the time of the incident however the driver did suffer injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Station 311 Captain Danielle McKay said the occupants of the house were "shaken but otherwise okay".
Fire and Rescue crews worked with Griffith SES for about two hours to remove the vehicle and ensure the building's structural safety.
The incident came on a busy day for the region's firefighters, who also responded to calls of a fire ripping through a Hillston shopfront.
