An open mic night on the 22nd of May is looking for interested acts to perform on Kooyoo Street.
The Street Scapes open mic night is hoping to bring in and support performances from artists around Griffith, with food and drink available from various pop-ups at the street.
The night will be a one-off performance at this stage, in conjunction with Street Scapes.
The night will begin at 5:30pm with performances from Tucks Daughter and Peter Jones. The open mic section will start at 6:30 and run for approximately an hour with performers limited to one set of three songs at maximum.
While the night is geared towards musicians, other acts are encouraged to perform as well. Whether you've got a quick stand-up set or a dance routine, sign-ups are being encouraged with some time constraints.
Griffith City Council's project planner Nathan Beer is excited to bring open mic to Street Scapes.
"The open mic night is a great opportunity where Council is able to marry passionate community groups with great urban infrastructure," he said in a statement.
The night's host has not been confirmed yet, however it will be hosted by either Peter Jones or Cheryl Tucker. Interested performers are urged to register their interest soon.
Registrations are open online and will close at 4pm on the 21st.
