Robert Kember from the Econo Lodge Motor Inn said that things weren't slowing down, with the 3X3 basketball games taking up a lot of rooms.
"We didn't have too many for the field days. We had some workers here for the roads, we had the basketball games. Maybe 25 per cent of calls were for field days but we were too busy to fit them in."
Mr Kember said that he knew several others around town were also full, and that significant overflow was staying at Leeton due to a lack of space in town.

Carolyn Snow from the Citrus Motel agreed, based on the demand she faced last week.
"I think all the motels in Griffith were flat-out for the whole week ... With the amount of calls I got last week, they would have had to go to Leeton."
Ms Snow said that she was seeing more people traveling through the area as well, staying overnight while touring NSW.
"I have noticed there's been a few people coming through Griffith. That didn't happen before, or at least not to this extent. I think with COVID, people are going out and seeing New South Wales more."
