Griffith Women in Business will launch their 2021 program at a speed networking event next on May 25.
Members and non members are welcome to attend to mix and mingle in a variety of networking activities over drinks and nibbles at Griffith Exies Club.
Originally founded in 2017 as a not-for-profit, Griffith Women in Business hopes to provide opportunities for local women to connect, collaborate and enhance their careers whilst encouraging others to do the same.
It now has a membership base of approximately 80 women.
Leone Gregory of Wagga Wagga Women in Business will be in attendance as a special guest.
Previous guests have included accomplished journalist Jessica Rowe and former CEO of a women's health organisation Lucy Bloom.
President, Belinda Johns of Straight Lines Design and Marketing, says that Griffith Women in Business was created by women, for women.
According to Ms Johns, the event is aiming to help attendees connect on both a personal level and a professional level.
"The format of this event is great because its structured yet fun networking and if you are new to town or don't know many people, you'll have the opportunity to meet women doing some wonderful things in the local community," Ms Johns said.
The event is also not restricted to women who are not currently working or own their own business.
"You don't have to own a business or even be working at all at all, everyone is welcome," Ms Johns said.
"If you are looking at returning to work at some point, this will be a safe professional space, you will still be able to get value out of the event".
High school and TAFE students are also welcome to attend.
The event starts at 5:30pm. For more information and to purchase tickets you can head to: https://www.griffithwomeninbusiness.org/event/gwib-speed-networking-new-program-launch/
