The Hanwood side made the long trip to Young last weekend, and it was the Lions who were able to take the points with a 3-1 victory, with Tara Cecatto finding the back of the net for the visitors.
Hanwood coach Anthony Zuccato isn't too concerned about the result.
"It wasn't the result we were after, but I'm also not sad that it happened," he said.
"They came out firing, and they were there to play.
"We definitely had our chances, so the score could have been closer than that, or maybe we could have won.
"They had the taste of it (defeat), and they didn't enjoy it, and they weren't happy about it, so it will make them hungrier."
The task was never going to be easy for the Hanwood side, with the engine room of the team missing from the clash.
"We had a fair few out with our starting midfield in Alanna Marando didn't travel, Imogen Zuccato didn't travel, and Kandi (Bertoldo) went off early," he said.
"From there, we hustled and repositioned, and we got back into the game, but we couldn't get the ball into the back of the net."

Zuccato admitted that Bertoldo will miss this weekend's clash with Junee.
"She has had a history of hamstrings, and it was only a little niggle that just started to pull, so we won't risk her next week because it is a long season," he said.
Hanwood's game against Junee will kick off at 11am on Sunday at Hanwood Oval.
