The Goannas had been on a 17-game undefeated streak which included the 2019 and 2020 premierships before the Swans came along to claim a one-point win.

Swans coach Georgia Fuller said it was a great feeling to walk off the court with the points.

"I think we all shocked ourselves," she said.

"I think we all went in thinking, let's just give it a red hot crack and whatever happens, happens, but really go out there and try.

"We had three A graders out that weekend as well, but the younger ones really stood up."

The Swans were without Jess Conlan, Markala Johnson and Milla Parr, but it handed the opportunity for Abbey Fedrigo to step up and make her A grade debut at 15 years old, and Fuller said she made quite the impact in her first game.

Fuller has been impressed with the depth of talent that the club has at its disposal this season and is looking forward to working with a young side this season.

"It's really exciting. All of our grades are quite strong this year," she said.

"The average age is 19 for A-grade, so it is really young.

"Jenna Richards has been playing A grade for quite a few years now even though she is only 18, so she has a bit of experience there.

"They are young, but they are so eager to learn at training, so they are going to give it their all. There are quite a few new girls in this team, so that's exciting, and everyone just wants to get out there and do their best."

Having started the season with a draw and then following up with wins Leeton-Whitton and Mangoplah, Fuller couldn't be happier with the way her side has started the season.

"We just wanted to have a good start to the season," she said.

"Usually, we kick it into gear halfway through the season and then we are just really trying to chase hard to make those finals spots.

"We started early for preseason and had quite a hard preseason, and we have been training quite a bit, so I think it is a nice reward for all of their effort and extra training they have been doing."

This weekend will see the Swans look to continue their strong start to the season when they take on Wagga Tigers at Exies Oval on Saturday.

"Tigers are always hard," she said.

"It will be interesting because they are tough and physical, so I'm expecting a fast game, but it will just come down to who wants it more."

Fuller said she expects to have a full-strength team available this weekend minus Jess Conlan as they look to keep pace with the undefeated Coolamon side.

Meanwhile, B grade was able to pick up their second win of the season with a 43-33 win to move up to third place, while the under 17s moved into the top five with a 30-25 victory.

It was a tough round for the A reserve side with a 57-26 loss, while C Grade also fell to a 35-14 defeat.
