Two new telecommunication towers are being built and three existing towers are receiving new "true broadband technology" in the areas around Coleambally, Darlington Points and Jerilderie.
The $1.2 million upgrades are expected to create new coverage which provides internet and mobile data to over 3000 residents and 430 businesses.
The new towers, which are being built along Newell Highway and Kidman Way, will help create coverage for an area of 6400 square metres.

Farrer MP Sussan Ley said the connection upgrades will help the regional community stay connected.
"It will keep our businesses connected, helps local families and visitors stay in touch and delivers improved access to health, education and online services," Ms Ley said.
"Murrumbidgee Council mayor Ruth McRae said investment into the connectivity of our local government area will be a game changer.
"In today's world, high speed internet coverage is as essential as roads and other services, as we depend on it for so many aspects in our personal and business lives."
The upgrades are being delivered as part of the Federal Government's Regional Connectivity Program.
The $90 million program aims to deliver 81 place-based digital connectivity solutions across regional Australia.
