After meeting with the chief health officer and minister for health, the premier has moved forward the easing of restrictions from midday Thursday 15 April, to 6am that day.

Masks:

*Will not be required unless at the airport or when flying.

While not mandatory, Queenslanders are advised to:

*Carry a mask with you at all times when you leave home

*Wear a mask when travelling on public transport, in a taxi, rideshare or in shopping centres.

*Wear a mask in any indoor or outdoor space when physical distancing is not possible.

Aged Care, Hospitals and Disability care:

*As of 6am Thursday, families are allowed to visit loved ones in aged care, hospitals and disability care services.

Gatherings:

*Pubs, clubs and hospitality services will allow standing whilst eating and drinking both inside and outside, and dancing is now permitted.

*Stadiums, theatres and cinemas can operate at 100 per-cent capacity and gatherings of up to 100 people will be allowed at private residences.

*Weddings and funerals can have up to 200 people or one person per two square metres.
