Peter Kylstra has been raising and showcasing cattle for over 30 years, and has judged cattle at both local and international shows. Recently, he's been raising cattle at Progress Limousins in Yanco, including the now prize-winning dam Progress Perfect Storm P5.
Progress Perfect Storm P5 swept the playing field to take home the Urquhart Trophy for supreme exhibit, beating out countless competing cattle from across the country.
Mr Kylstra was especially proud of the win as Progress Limousins is a "relative unknown and relatively low-budget" entrant into the world of cattle showcasing.
"You're doing it tough before you even get through the gate."

This victory marks a triumphant return to exhibiting for Mr Kylstra after being retired from showing cattle professionally for over a decade.
Prior to owning Progress Limousins, Mr Kylstra managed a stable in Mossvale called Premier Limousins with great success. After Premier disbanded, Mr Kylstra stopped showing cattle at shows but continued to look after some of Premier's herd.
"I've always maintained some of our old bloodlines from yesteryear. It's been 15 years since I've shown at the Sydney show so it's a bit of a buzz for me personally." he said.
He was inspired to return to the scene after being invited as a judge to the 2019 Sydney show.
"When I was looking at the cattle there, I decided that we could still compete. I had enough quality at home to be able to stand there and be happy with what we had... I didn't dream of winning though."
While Mr Kylstra is familiar with high-level awards, having won at the Melbourne show twice and Canberra three times, this is the first time he's won the grand prize at Sydney.
"I've been in the finals twice, and been runner-up once, but the Urquhart has always eluded me."
"I'm really proud to bring a major award back to the Riverina. We're always known as the food bowl capital of NSW and it's nice to know that we're also competitive in the beef industry, not just fruit and wine."
