The Yoogali side narrowly missed out on finals last season, first grade coach Luke Santolin is happy with how the side is shaping up.
"We have much more depth," he said.
"I said at the beginning that I wanted to field a 23s that was 100 per cent young and local, and I think we can achieve that.
"In saying that the up and down preseason we have had means that Andrew (Keady) and Danny (Roche) don't know who their best eleven is."

While the 23s haven't taken to the field as their own entity, they have helped the first-grade side in their preparation ahead of the tough clash with Weston Wolonglo.
"I think Danny and Keady have done the work, they are good football men, and they have prepared them mentally for everything," he said.
The under 23s game will start at 12.45pm on Sunday.
