In celebration of Pioneer Park Museum's 50th anniversary, a video covering the iconic museum's history will be projected onto the Remembrance Drive water reservoir.
The 15 minute video tells the story of how one man's dream to start a museum in 1971 led to what is now an adored site ingrained in Griffith's unique culture.
"There are people who have been here for generations and they have so many memories and connections with the development of the museum," curator Bonnie Owen said.
"It's people's childhoods, it's their education, it's their spirit and their community and this will commemorate that."
The video will be played on loop from 7pm to 10pm each night from Monday April 5 up until the anniversary of the museum's creation on Monday April 12.
There is something very pensive and alluring about seeing this monument lit up at night.

Pioneer Park Museum is encouraging local residents to drive up to the museum's carpark, where they can enjoy the display from the comfort of their own cars or while sitting or standing with fellow residents in the carpark.
"Because it is on a loop there should be an opportunity for everybody to see it at some stage," Ms Owen said.
"If people arrive and the carpark is a bit full, they can just come back in a few minutes and there should be room."

Ms Owen said seeing Griffith's history piercing through the darkness was a magical moment.
"It looks spectacular. There is something very pensive and alluring about seeing this monument lit up at night."

The anniversary week will also feature an anniversary luncheon on Saturday April 10 for the volunteers of Pioneer Park and their families and a new exhibition about the Pioneer Park called 'One Man's Dream: Treasures of Pioneer Park Museum'.
The One Man's Dream projections are free events.
