In the under 13s, Griffith was able to make a strong start with a goal in the 11th minute to Ryan Calabria and held the 1-0 advantage until halftime.
Olympic struck back just after the break, making the most of a goalmouth scramble.
Joseph Romeo was able to restore Griffith's advantage with a looping shot which proved to be the match-winner in a 2-1 victory.
The under 14s made a strong start to their season as well, with a 3-1 victory with goals from Luca Piva, James Dal Broi and Jack Beltrame.

In their first-ever game in the competition, the under 18s were held to a 0-0 draw while the under 16s conceded three goals in the first half to fall to a 3-0 defeat.
The Griffith FC side will be back in action after Easter when they take on Belconnen United at Ted Scobie Oval on April 10.
