The chair of council's tourism committee, councillor Christine Stead described Griffith as "the place to be" for the easter holidays.
With a wide range of fan-favourite events coming back after a year off in 2020, it's looking like she might have a point.
Viki Dalla is once again organising the Children's Easter Brunch to take place at CWA Park on Easter Saturday.
She says she is so excited to bring some Easter joy back to the area.
"It's really, really great to be able to put the Brunch on again ... it was really sad that we couldn't do it last year so we're hoping that everybody will come along and have a great day," Mrs Dalla said.
"It's just a really fun day for both families in Griffith and visitors."
Here is a selection of events for those in Griffith to check out over the Easter weekend:
Thursday:
If you're feeling lucky, both the Northside and Southside Leagues clubs will be hosting seafood raffles on Thursday night. Tickets will be on sale from 5:30pm and a win could make you the most popular person in the house come Good Friday.
Good Friday:
If you think you'll be feeling energetic to start the weekend off, the Bacchus on the Lake family fun run could be the perfect thing for you. From 7:15am there are races for competitive runners, social joggers and even those of us who just want a nice walk around Lake Wyangan. Read more about it here: https://griffithbacchus.org.au/
Easter Saturday:
On Easter Saturday, there will be local produce, handmade goods and some farmyard animals on show at the Griffith Feed and Grain family fun day. Market stalls mean you'll be able to check out all the latest things Griffith locals have to offer while the kids cause mayhem in the petting zoo. There is even a rumour the Easter Bunny could be making an appearance. Read more about it here: https://www.facebook.com/GriffithFeedandGrain
It's not Easter without fun and games, and that is exactly where the Children's Easter Brunch comes in. From 9:30am, children and parents of all ages are invited to CWA Park on Banna Avenue for a free brunch (gold coin donation for adults) and all manner of games and excitement. Including a massive tug of war match, a giant parachute and an easter egg hunt.
Just down the road, the Banna Avenue Sidewalk Sale will be in full swing. Griffith's main street will be alive with action, as local musicians showcase their talents in Memorial Park and local shops open up to the public.
Later on in the day, many will no doubt be excited to see the Griffith Vintage Festival return to town. A stellar selection of local wines, food, and music will be on display. The event has been a sell-out every year since reinstating in 2017, so make sure to get in early. Read more about it here: https://www.unwinedriverina.com
