Coro Cougars are the first side through to the GDCA second grade grand final following a 58-run victory over Coleambally in potentially the final cricket game at Westend Oval.
The Cougars made a strong start to their innings, with Brett Crooks (20) and Matt Signor (12) putting on 40 runs for the first wicket before the Nomads claimed three quick wickets.
Nick Witherspoon (21*), Andrew McIntyre (17) and Shane Hutchinson (11) got starts to help their side reach the end of their 40 overs on 6/116.
The Nomads struggled to get going in their innings as Dion Pascoe (5/12) destroyed the top order to see the Coleambally side fall to 6/22.
Sanil Chilukuri (17) tried to lead a fightback for his side, but as he was the only batsman to get a start, the Nomads were eventually bowled out for 58 as Witherspoon (2/5) and Hutchinson (2/12) took the remaining wickets.
In the elimination final, Diggers were able to keep their season alive as they defeated Hanwood by seven wickets.
Michael Crosato (32) got a start at the top of the order for the Hanwood side, but it wasn't until Sam Robinson (14*) at seven that another batsman past single digits with Lance Gilbert (4/28) doing most of the damage as Hanwood were bowled out for 82.
Gilbert (15*), Mick Duncan (21) and Damien Browning (27*) were able to guide their side into the preliminary final with a seven-wicket win with 19.2 overs remaining.
Diggers will take on Coleambally at Exies No 2 on Saturday afternoon.
