UPDATE 2: 3:14pm: A power outage has occured over parts of Griffith and Yoogali leaving 429 customers without power. It is unclear if this is related to the truck incident.
UPDATE 3: 4:30pm: Two Essential Energy trucks fitted with small cranes are at the scene and staff are working to fix the damage to the utility pole.
UPDATE 4: 5:00pm: Most homes and properties have now had their power restored.
Over 470 homes and properties were left without power after a truck crashed into a utility pole in Beelbangera today.
The truck's back wheels reportedly collided with the pole outside Dee Vine Estate on the corner of Rossetto Road and Gorman Road at about 12:24pm.
No one was injured in the incident.
According to Essential Energy, 471 customers in the area between Beelbangera, Yoogali and Bilbul were without power for up to two hours following the crash.
Members of the NSW Rural Fire Service and the SES attended the scene and the road was temporarily blocked off as they dealt with the issue.
It is expected power will be fully restored to customers affected by the initial outage by 2am tomorrow morning.
