Police said on Wednesday morning they had found a body in the Murrumbidgee River in Carrathool.
The body was found at about 1:40pm on Tuesday, February 16.
The body is yet to be formally identified, however police believe it to be the 50-year-old man who went missing over the weekend.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
Police began searching for Jason Timothy Benjamin after he was reported missing over the weekend.
The man was believed to be staying at Pinkers Beach campsite and his vehicle containing personal items was located.
Police said his disappearance was out of character.
