The poet has been busy over the last few years writing new poems which tell true tales of life in the Riverina and MIA.
Mr Clarke has self-published his third anthology of poems, entitled Riverina Rhymes.
The poems cover Griffith's Scenic Hill hermit, Merriwagga's historic Black Stump Hotel, the Goolgowi Yowie and the time that Ernie went hungry because his lunch exploded.
Mr Clarke said with his third book his poems seemed to be getting longer.
"I've been doing a few more historical topics, trying to preserve history but making it amusing or interesting as well," he said.
"They're true stories."
Mr Clarke's first poem was about the London to Sydney Rally which saw competitors speed through Gunbar in 1968.
His poem was picked up by Ford and published in their magazine.

It was in 2005 that he published The Blackstump and Beyond in 2005, and From the Bidgee to the Lachlan in 2017.
He said after he retired from farming he's had more time to write, and has already written two new poems for potentially fourth book, but he's no rush as he only writes when the inspiration strikes.
"If I live to 100 there might be book five," Mr Clarke joked.
Riverina Rhymes is available from News and Gifts on Banna in Griffith and at the Red Dust and Paddy Melons Gallery in Hillston.
