The Hanwood side was able to leapfrog Diggers last weekend after picking up a bonus-point fifty over win over Exies Eagles and make a strong start to the second half of the season.
The third-placed Hanwood side has enjoyed a strong run since November having only fallen to one defeat in six matches which includes two bonus-point victories in the longest format which has helped them to try and stay in touch with the top two sides.
The performance with the bat continued to be a strong side for Hanwood with Dean Catanzariti starting to really find his form while the return of Tom Shannon to the side has only strengthened an already talented batting line up.
Diggers fell in their last game in a thriller against Leagues in a game which saw captain Trevor Richards continue his strong season with the bat as he scored his second fifty of the season as his side fell to a one-wicket defeat.
The loss means that Diggers haven't tasted success since their win over Coro on November 21 in a run that has seen two washouts and two losses and will be hoping to turn that form around this weekend.
