Micheal Crosato played a crucial role with both bat and ball as Hanwood were able to take a 32-run win over Exies Eagles.
Cameron Harrison was able to make an early breakthrough for the Exies side with the wicket of Trevor Cowie (4), but a 117-run partnership between Crosato and Neil Geltch gave Hanwood the ascendancy.
With the score on 124, Dan Brady (1/31) was able to end Crostato's (70) innings while Geltch (51) was also able to post a fifty before he was caught by Daniel Duckworth off the bowling of Harrison (4/35).
Ryan McWhirter (22) and Luke Catanzariti (19*) were able to add some late runs to see Hanwood finish their innings on 5/189.
In reply, Brady (5) fell early, but Peter Davis was on hand to provide the backbone for the Eagles as they looked to chase down Hanwood's title.
Josh Davis (18), Ryan Bock (10) and Don Jayasuriya (10) were the only other batsmen to get starts for the Exies side.
Peter Davis (90*) carried the bat, but destructive bowling from McWhirter (3/18) and Crosato (4/28) helped to restrict Exies to be bowled out for 157.
Meanwhile, Diggers were able to move into equal second on the ladder with a 37-run win over Coro.
Leon Vico (37) led the way with the bat at the top of the order while contributions from Damien Browning (25), Liam Gilbert (23) and Craig Lugton (17*) in the middle order got Diggers into a strong position.
Nick Witherspoon (3/41) and Teei Piawi (3/10) were the main wicket-takers for the Cougars as Diggers reached the end of their 40 overs on 8/157.
Damien Browning made the best possible start with the ball as he picked up the crucial wickets of Jamie Bennett (0) and Will Kennedy (0) with the first two balls of the innings.
Justin Moat (19) and Jack Rand (9) looked to rebuild their side's innings, but when Moat fell to Max Goirigolzarri, the Cougars lost another clump of wickets.
Rand (9) fell to Browning (3/15) while Goirigolzarri (2/29) picked up the dangerous Piawi (2) and Angus Kennedy (7) was run out.
Yash More (38) tried to give his side a chance, but Matthew Butcher (3/31) took the remaining wickets to see Coro bowled out for 120.
In the Friday night clash, Coleambally was able to take top spot with an eight-wicket victory.
Andrew DeHaart (18) and Matt Keenan (24) made a strong start for the Panthers however the bowling of Neil Burke (4/16) swung the game in favour of the Nomads.
Jackson Hassan (11*) was the only other Panther to get a start as they were bowled out for 93.
Jack Weymouth-Smith (51*) led the way for the Nomads, and while Hamish Gunn (2/18) was able to take two quick wickets it made little difference as Coleambally chased down the runs with 19.1 overs remaining.
