The event at the Griffith Golf Club last Saturday was a 4 BBB Stableford with a single in conjunction, which attracted a field of 85 players on a perfect day for golf.

The Father and Son combination of Mark and Riley Townsend carded the winning score of 47 1point, out with 23 points home with 24. Mark nailed a birdie on the 4th, whilst Riley carded four pointers on the 3rd. and 14th.
Unlucky runners-up were Trent Anderson and Nathan Lewis who also carded 47 points with the same splits but lost the protracted countback, carding four pointers on the 8th and 15th.
In third place with 46 points were Luke Congdon and Daniel Bergamin. Vouchers went to 43 points on a countback.
Toby Maher 39 points took out A Grade in the single, carding an Eagle Two on the 15th, shooting par 35 on the back nine, ahead of Martin Sweeney 38 points, draining birdies on the 1st, 8th and 14th.
Ian Arstall 37 points won B Grade, Paul Josling 35 points, nailing a birdie on the 4th.
Jorge Wood 38 points best in C Grade, a birdie on the 11th, Dan Bergamin second on 37 points, carding birdies on the 6th and 12th.
John Badoco won the 4th pin, Garry Hartnett 7th, Trent Anderson 8th and 16th, Charlie Guglielino 11th, 15th Brad Lemon with an Eagle Two.
The cool summers day saw 75 players contest Sundays medley single stableford.
Mike Coleman 38 points won A Grade on a countback over Allan Andreazza 38 points.
Jarrod Gale 39 points won B Grade, Lama Lolotonga 38 points second.
Barry Stapleton days best score of 43 points won C Grade from an unlucky James Nancarrow 42 points.
Barry Northeast won the 7th pin, Byron James 16th.
Vouchers to 33 points.

The qualifier for the Norm Saxvick Memorial Red Gum Plate is on Sunday, January 31, and the Volkswagon Scramble on Sunday, February 14.
Members are also advised the Clubhouse will only open on Wednesdays, Saturday and Sunday, following the resignation of Christie and James.
Wednesday's event is a single stroke with single stablefords on both Saturday and Sunday.
The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday with 32 players in two grades.
Mick Catanzariti 37 points won Div. 1 ahead of Bryan Trembath 35 points.
Skeet Milne 38 points in Div.2 ahead of Bill Brown 37 points.
John Gale won both the 7th and 11th pins Robert Trembath 16th.
