There's not many things which can stress out a student in the middle of their summer holidays, but hearing 'back to school' might just be the best bet.

But the words are far more positive for local businesses, who say many families are already stocking up for the school year.
Office Choice managing director, Jeff Harris, says the back to school season seems to start earlier every year, and this year is no different.
"We're definitely seeing some good numbers through the store already," he said. "There's a good portion of people that like to get organised nice and early, ahead of the mad rush.

The last week before school resumes is 'D-Day' for the business, but Mr Harris says his staff are well prepared for the expected crowds.
"For that last week or so, there is a lot of numbers in the store, a lot of families, so it does make a nice busy shop environment," he said.
"It's always a challenge for the staff but they find a good way of managing it."

Despite online learning becoming more prevalent every year, there is still a lot of demand for traditional books and pencils, and Mr Harris says he has noticed more families prioritising quality in recent years.
A few blocks away, store manager at The Athlete's Foot Griffith, James Alexander, says the business is experiencing it's biggest month ever.
"Back to school is always the biggest time of the year for us," he said. "From the first day of January we have been flat out. We did out biggest first week ever last week."
According to Mr Alexander, the sales this year look like they will be a big increase on last year, which had already been a massive increase on the year before.
"It's definitely on the rise," he said.
The shoe store has put on extra staff for the entire month of January.
