Woolworths is recalling its store-brand coleslaw in two states and the ACT over a salmonella scare.
The supermarket chain issued the recall on Tuesday, with customers encouraged to return impacted products to their nearest Woolworths for a full refund.
The recall is for 110g, 250g, 400g and 800g tubs of coleslaw with a use by date of up to January 21 and a site code represented by the letter S after the use-by date code.
They were sold in Woolworths supermarkets and Metro stores in NSW, ACT and some regional Victorian sites.
"Woolworths is recalling these products due to the potential presence of microbial contamination - salmonella," the company said.
"Customers should note that this recall applies to the above product with use by dates up to and including 21 January only and no other products are affected by this recall.
"Woolworths takes product safety seriously and apologises for any inconvenience caused by this recall."
Microbial contamination may cause illness if consumed. Anyone with concerns about their health should seek medical advice, Woolworths said.
