The side was led by Griffith's Hayden Forner while Ben Signor and Noah Gaske both played key roles during the three-day carnival on the border.
It was a nail-biting start to the competition with a final ball victory against Greater Illawarra.
Signor (1/28) and Gaske (1/47) took a wicket each while Signor took a catch and picked up a run out as well as the Illawarra side were restricted to 171 when they were bowled out in the 45th over.
Forner (49*) provided the captain's knock that was required and hit the winning runs off the final ball to see the Riverina side took a three-wicket win.
It was a convincing display in their second game which saw Riverina able to pick up an 84-run victory over Western.
Forner (7) and Signor (12) helped their side reach 5/221 after their 50 overs in a game which saw Wagga's Jake Scott (108*) reach a hundred.
Gaske (3/19) played a vital role with the ball as the Western side were bowled out for 137.
In their final game against ACT Southern District, the winner would take out the competition with both sides heading in with perfect records.
Gaske (3/25) again has a strong day with the ball while Ben Signor (1/26) chipped in to pick up a wicket to help restrict the ACT side to 7/163 off their 50 overs.
It looked like the Riverina side would be able to come home with the win with Forner (20) chipping in crucial runs, but the side ran out of time as they finished just two runs short in the chase to see ACT Southern District come away with the win.
