After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Eagles would have been looking to make a strong start however the Panthers bowlers had other ideas.
Tom Greenaway made the perfect start when he trapped Aditha Jayasuriya (0) in front with the first ball of the day before backing that up with the dismissal of Phil Burge (1) while Dan Hillam (1/15) removed Craig Burge (10).
Connor Bock and Bryce Rogers were tasked with the difficult job of trying to rebuild their side's innings from 3/13 and were able to put on 41 runs before Greenaway struck to take his third with the dismissal of Rogers (8).
Bock (23) was the only Eagle to really make an impact on the scoreboard and when he was caught off the bowling of Jimmy Binks it all but ended the resistance from the Exies side.
Greenaway (5/15) completed his five-wicket haul with the wickets of Mason Ashcroft (0) and Marc Tucker (1) to see the Eagles fall to 7/59.
Bradyn Challis (7) fell four runs later to Binks (2/12) while Sam Breed (4) was bowled by Liam Greenaway (1/4) before Noah Gaske (1/12) brought the Eagles innings to a close on 73 when he knocked over Duane Ashcroft (6).
If the Eagles wanted to have any chance of defending their small they would need to make early breakthroughs and Duane Ashcroft was able to do just that.
Ashcroft (2/11) was able to find the edge of Andrew Madden (3) to see him caught behind in the second over while he followed it up with the dismissal of Ben Leach (1) in his next over.
Gaske and Reece Matheson looked to get their side back on track and were able to get their side to 37 before Matheson (12) was caught off the bowling of Rogers.
Binks joined Gaske out in the middle and got their side to 53 before Rogers struck again to remove Gaske (25) when he was caught by Challis.
With the Panthers needing just 21 runs for victory Binks (15*) and Tarenjit Mankoo (11*) were able to guide their side to the bonus point win with 22.1 overs remaining.
