Instead, she has her eyes set on next December.
Her Walla Avenue home, complete with 22 inflatables, two 13 foot tall soldiers and countless bright flashing lights, won the Mayor's Choice Award in the Griffith City Council competition.
"I was a bit chuffed actually," Ms Armstrong said on winning the award.
"Because I didn't think we would take it out because I'd looked at a few other good ones. I was pleasantly surprised."
As a prize, Ms Armstrong is set to receive a Bunnings gift voucher, which she said will be used to help fund her ambitious plans for this year's display.
"Next Christmas will be massive," she said.
"I've got big plans ... I'll be making stuff all year."
Ms Armstrong didn't want to reveal too much, though she did admit her plans include creating three distinct sections around her house, each representing a different element of Christmas.
She also said she plans to bring back a family tradition, by setting up a wishing well where visitors to her planned winter wonderland can donate to Can Assist.
Despite her exciting plans, Ms Armstrong will no doubt struggle to out-do her 2020 decorations, which Mayor John Dal Broi said showcased "true Christmas spirit".
"It's incredibly bright and makes everyone smile as they explore the yard, which is always a good thing," Cr Dal Broi said. "My granddaughters came with me and loved it."
Another winner of the council's competition was Sam Hipkiss, whose home on Leaver Street in Yenda won the Popular Choice award
Using his background as an electrician, Mr Hipkiss synchronised his lights display to flash in time with music on the 104FM radio station.
He said despite all the hard work he put into setting up the display, seeing the joy it brought made it all worth it.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Between the programming, installing the lights and perfecting the display I have spent around 200 hours and more than $2,000 setting this up.
"To see the enjoyment it brings to the community has been well worth it."
Mayor Dal Broi was thankful to everyone who dedicated countless hours towards brightening other people's lives last Christmas.
"I want to congratulate everyone who took the time to brighten up our region with their displays."
"I was especially impressed to see the villages getting involved - well done everyone and thank you for helping our community to smile after what has been a particularly difficult year."
