With the new year upon us, both Leeton's library and Griffith's library have come up with a swathe of activities and programs for residents of all ages to check out and participate in.
There's everything from craft, brain games, multicultural movies, film club and much more.
Here's some of the lowdown of what's happening this month:
LEETON

Tuesdays and Thursdays: Leeton library knitters gets together every week for a free program from 10.30am on both days. All welcome. Baby rhyme time is also held every Tuesday at 10.30am.
Wednesdays: Brain games from 2pm to 3pm. Another free initiative involving activities, puzzles in a non-competitive environment. Includes afternoon tea. Storytime is also held each Wednesday from 10.30am.
Thursdays: Lego club from 4pm to 5pm.
A new initiative has also been added to the Monday schedule at the Leeton library for young children throughout February called Little Bang Discovery Club.
Aimed at children aged from three to five years-old, this four-session program combines everyday objects and experiences with genuine scientific inquiry methods. Having been held in libraries throughout the country, it will arrive in Leeton on February 1, 8, 15 and 22. Bookings are essential due to limited places.
On January 22, the Leeton library will also host an online school holiday Manga workshop with one of Australia's own Manga creators in Queenie Chan.
Queenie will walk participants through creating their own Manga and comic drawing.
The workshop will be held on January 22 at 2.30pm.
There's also something for young readers who are keeping up with their reading in 2021.
For those aged from 0-18 years, for every book complete they can earn a star for every book read or listened to in January.
Every star is also a ticket in the draw for prizes, which will be drawn on February 4.
