The Giants groups for under 17 and under 19 players include 38 boys from Wagga and MIA centres and 13 girls in what will be the first year of female squads.
The AFL has changed its junior development programs from under 16s and 18s for this year as a result of COVID-19 cancelling the opportunities for talented players throughout 2020.
It offers an additional year for classy youngsters including The Rock-Yerong Creek's Jack Driscoll and Luke Fellows, Marrar's Drew Beavan and Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong's Matt Hamblin.
The Riverina went another year without a local AFL draftee but GWS Academy Head Coach Cam Bernasconi said few opportunities for elite level games didn't help and believes there's reason to be optimistic about 2021.
The Giants' development programs for younger age groups will begin in April 2021.
