The six metre long project was finally installed Monday, after over a thousand submissions of feathers were received to help spread messages of encouragement and inspiration to the community after a tough year.
"I wanted a thousand submissions that was my goal, but to see it up there, it's really beautiful," Isis Ronan, creator of Uplift Griffith said.
"Off the top of my head there would be 30 to 50 different nationalities represented here, we got excited every time we saw a new country."
Uplift Griffith has been nearly two months in the making, with Mrs Ronan dedicating hours of engaging the community, collecting submissions and then continuous cutting and sealing the feathers and putting it all together.
"My house looks like a print house factory right now," Mrs Ronan joked.
"We've had two open studios at the Community Centre as well as at the Greengecko craft market and also here at Central as well.
"I would say it has been at least two weeks of continuous work all up."
Being relatively new to Griffith, Mrs Ronan said the project has been a 'great way to get to know the Griffith community'.
"It's been a way to reach out to community minded people here and it's made me excited for what we are going to see happening here in the next couple of years," Mrs Ronan said.
"If we are able to do something like this, we are able to do a lot of other things in the future."
Undertaking the project has opened doors for Mrs Ronan in Griffith for her to continue with her creative ideas to bring the community together to share their stories.
"Next year I am volunteering at the library doing a collaborative mural in January."
