Emergency services were called to the intersection with Couch Road after a white Toyota Hi-Ace campervan collided with a white Kia Cerato.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.05pm on Wednesday.
The campervan was travelling south on Jondaryan Avenue when the driver made a right turn into Couch Street.
The Kia's driver attempted to avoid a collision, however hit the campervan and left the road before hitting the Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service building.
The learner driver at the wheel of the Kia had only minor injuries, while the supervising driver was taken to Griffith Base Hospital with suspected abdominal injuries including possible broken rib.
The driver of the campervan, a 65-year-old man, has been taken to Griffith police station for a further breath analysis after failing a roadside breath test.
Both cars were recovered by 3pm and police inquiries are continuing.
