The strong numbers golf has seen across the pandemic is once again having a great impact for the club with manager Wayne Moat saying it is the biggest field seen in a number of years.
"I think we have nearly 30 men's sides which means we will have two teams qualify for the regional finals which is good," he said.
"Last couple of years we have struggled to get two sides away but this year off the back of everything else with golf being so busy it has been really good.
"We are probably only four sides away from getting two on each tee which is pretty much our maximum, and we could still get a couple more teams in yet."
The last couple of years the club has struggled to reach the numbers to get two teams to qualify with late pushes for more teams needed to reach the number, but Moat said there had been no such issue this time around.
Along with the men's event, there will also be a female event, but unfortunately due to numbers, the winners won't be able to qualify for the next stage.
Around seven years ago, Griffith, had a women's side reach the Australian finals while a couple of teams have gone close in the regionals over the last couple of seasons.
"There can be close to 40 teams playing in the regional finals, so you have to have a red hot score to qualify," Moat said.
There was success from the MIA last year with Tyler Boller, Chris Doolin, Matt Arnold and Jason Nardi from Leeton came up just short in the National Finals on the Sunshine Coast.
